Citibank Greece Donations & Card Program Tallies 72,148 Euros for "Mazi Gia to Paidi" Charities
Athens For the third consecutive year, Citibank Visa & MasterCard cardholders have supported "Mazi Gia to Paidi," an association of ten non-profit charitable organizations. For every transaction made in January 2008, Citibank contributed €0.15, to "Mazi Gia to Paidi." The total sum which was donated, based on this one-month's transactions, was 72,148 Euros.
In order to offer the donation check, Citibank invited the association's representatives and their members, parents and children, to attend the première show of the family movie "The Game Plan." Having fun with clowns and face-painting activities, children gave the attendants moments of joy, by attributing even more value to Citibank's initiative.
"We are very pleased that our customers supported Citibank's bankcards program for 'Mazi Gia to Paidi' and helped us donate even more this year. The simple way of offering to a charitable cause through our daily transactions becomes more and more popular and has significant results," said Chris Vassiliades, Country Business Manager of Greece.
"Mazi Gia to Paidi-Together for Children" is an association of ten non-profit charitable organizations. Committed to collaborating and coordinating our efforts for the benefit of children in need and their families, they have been working together since 1996 with the following goals:

- To offer psychological and moral support and social services to their families.
- To inform and sensitize the public about children in need.
- To promote volunteerism in facing the special needs of children.
- To collaborate with similar organizations internationally.
- To advance scientific research.
- To raise funds through the organization of cultural, educational and athletic events.
