(NYSE: C) October 05, 2007 CitiFinancial Chairman Harry Goff Awarded Independent College Fund of Maryland’s Leadership Award Fund Names Ten New Scholarships After Goff Baltimore, MD – The Independent College Fund of Maryland recently awarded Harry Goff, Chairman of CitiFinancial North America, its 2007 Leadership Award, citing his strong beliefs in the value of a liberal arts education and its ability to build leaders. In addition, the College Fund announced that ten scholarships it provides to students attending Maryland liberal arts colleges and universities will be named “Goff Leadership Scholars.” The ten Goff Leadership Scholars each receive $5,000 to help them pay school tuition and meet other educational expenses. “I am proud to be recognized by the Independent College Fund of Maryland for my efforts on behalf of education in the state of Maryland,” said Goff. “But most of all, I am proud to help more students pursue an education, one of the most important steps to a successful career and life.” Goff, a native of Cheyenne, Wyoming, is currently chairman of the American Financial Services Association and a board member of the Jumpstart Coalition, a national coalition of organizations dedicated to improving the financial literacy of kindergarten through college-age youth through advocacy, research, and educational resources.
