Citi Foundation Supports American University of Kuwait's Scholarship Program
Provides USD 25,000 to School of Business Scholarship Program
Kuwait City Citi Foundation announced today that it has granted the American University of Kuwait (AUK) USD 25,000 towards AUK's scholarship program for the 2007-2008 academic year.
The funds will be used towards the AUK scholarship program, intended specifically for qualified students studying for a Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Arts in Economics. The grant will promote the study of finance, economics, and related business disciplines at AUK.
"We welcome Citi's commitment to the Kuwaiti community through financing the education of students whose only restriction to obtaining qualifications is financial," said AUK's President, Dr. Marina Tolmacheva. "This donation will enhance the offerings that AUK's scholarship program presents to our students and will give them the opportunity to obtain a quality education with international standards," she added.
Raj Dvivedi, General Manager for Citi in Kuwait, said: "Our support for AUK's scholarship program underscores Citi's commitment to supporting financial education in Kuwait in order to help achieve the national goal of educating local professionals, mainly in business disciplines. We are proud to be associated with AUK and look forward to partnering with the university in other strategic initiatives."
