Citibank & Habitat for Humanity Celebrate 10 Years of Friendship and Partnership in Korea
Seoul – To celebrate 10 years of friendship and partnership, Citibank made a KRW 140 million Citi Foundation donation to Habitat for Humanity Korea (HFHK) on June 21.
In addition to the donation, Citibank Korea employee volunteers will also participate in an upcoming HFHK build at Gangwon-Do Taebaek on August 13-18.
Citibank Korea CEO Y.K. Ha will lead the way again at Gangwon-Do Taebek. Commenting about Citibank's long-term support for HFHK he said:
"This is a very worthwhile cause and I am thrilled that Citibank Korea has played an active part in HFK builds since 1998. Every build is memorable for everyone involved and we will continue to support this great program."
In recognition of his loyal support, Mr. Ha was named an external director for HFHK this year.
In 1998, Citibank Korea became the first corporate partner of Habitat for Humanity in Korea. Since then, over 380 Citibank Korea employees have helped build 13 houses in various areas of Korea.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary in Korea, Citibank is planning an even more memorable event this year under the theme "Citibank at Work – Building Houses of Love and Hope.” Citibank Korea will also use the opportunity to involve new employees in the 2007 build.
